Equal Heart is recruiting individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Members and join 50,000 other National Service Members who serve their community to reduce hunger, provide engagement for youth, promote job readiness, and support increased Public Health Access. In exchange for their service, AmeriCorps Members receive a bi-weekly living allowance and an end-of-term education award.

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Commitment to serve the community!
Primary Duties:
Facilitate K-12 environmental education programs and community outreach activities.
Participate in training and professional development on best practices in environmental education and conservation.
Support programming through activities such as maintaining live animal exhibits, preparing activity areas, and restoring program areas following field trips, including incidental tasks necessary to support participant engagement.
Assist with maintaining safe outdoor learning environments through invasive species control efforts in areas used for environmental educational programs.
Organize and maintain educational materials, supplies, and program resources necessary for activities and community events.
Participate in at least one weekend-day/month, including evening community outreach and environmental education events.
This location requires a total service commitment of 600 hours.
Benefits include:
Living Allowance of $6,600.00; paid out biweekly ($412.50)
Education Award of $3,131.16; earned at the end of term.
