In the late spring semester, you will be able to register for a parking spot for the upcoming year. The lots you are eligible for depend upon your living situation.
Graduate students have a higher priority than the undergraduate students so you will likely receive one of your top two preferred spots. Most geography graduate students park in lot 50 but there are other options available, including parking garages. The cost for a lot parking spot for the 2020-21 year was $328 and $530 for a garage spot. If you choose another mode of transportation during the day but feel more comfortable driving to campus at night, night permits are available for $108 that allow for parking from 5 pm to 6 am in most campus lots.
GRAD TIP
Be sure to check out the parking portal beginning in April/May to select your preferred spot!
Unfortunately, the school does not email you when registration is available. The end of parking registration for the 2020-2021 year was July 8, 2020.
GRAD TIP
Over the summer, you can park in the Southside Garage (short walk to O&M and CSA) as long as you have a valid parking permit for any lot.
