Molecular Biology
The Biophotonics Group maintains a dedicated molecular biology space designed for tissue processing, cell isolation, and advanced molecular analysis. This room is equipped with systems for automated tissue dissociation and cell culture, supporting seamless transitions from sample preparation to downstream assays. Molecular capabilities include RT-PCR for gene expression profiling, a multimodal plate reader with time-resolved fluorescence (TRF), polarized fluorescence (PF), and Western blot, as well as cytometer-based imaging for cellular characterization. The space also features a multiplex Luminex system for high-throughput protein analysis and an automated plate washer to streamline assay workflows. Together, these tools enable comprehensive molecular investigations that complement the group’s translational research in cancer and immunotherapy.
