The four Pou represent our babies in kindergarten right up to our year 13’s. This is important as we go through these stages in life to succeed. The four names of the Pou, Rongo-ma-tane, Maui, Tawhirimatea and Tangaroa are significant to our school and also to our whenua of Ngati Kahu. Rongo-ma-tane, Tawhirimatea and Tangaroa represent Atua maori as well as the Mana Potential tool, which is used in our Kura. Maui is a representative of the navigators. The Pou are placed to support the Monument.
