This will begin by drawing people with crayon. one member of the class will sit in the middle and the rest of the class will draw them. as the 3 weeks goes on we will draw at the beach draw objects from inside and outside the classroom

We are now starting our major project for the term. This will be learning how to create paintings using layered stencils.
This will involve completing two finished paintings, one simple silhouette, and one complex layered shading.
Find a silhouette picture you like. This is going to be one layer of your first painting.
Either choose a background for your silhouette or design your own.
using a piece of thick cartridge painting paper put a frame using tape to a4 size.
using a sponge fill the frame with paint trying hard not to go past the tape.
Using a craft knife on a cutting board carefully cut the silhouette out the part you need to keep is the white paper with the silhouette shaped holes in it, not the picture of the silhouette.
We are now starting our major project for the term. This will be to design and make your own papier-mâché mask.
This will be developed on an A2 piece of paper
Fold the paper into quarters
In one quarter you are going to draw a minimum of 12 ideas for your mask
You will then choose your best two ideas to draw on the next quarter to a good standard.
Next choose your favourite out of these two ideas and draw it to your highest possible standard. next two it draw what it looks like in profile(from the side).
In the final quarter using paints or colour pencils try up to four different colour concepts.
Below is the layout for your A2 piece of paper
We will be taking a plaster bandage cast of your face to get a starting shape to work with paper mache on top of.
