In this semester class students will explore the various career paths within the textile and apparel industry. They will have the opportunity to discover their own fashion style through creating mood boards, learning the elements and principles of design, exploring the dance between colors, fabrics and styles which—when combined correctly—create a specific interest for a target market. Students will then apply their own designs to a personally constructed upcycling project. The entire semester will be captured in a digital fashion portfolio showcasing their final projects including a merchandising plan for a specific brand.

Have you ever wanted to explore how you could make a living as a professional photographer? This course covers the basic aspects of commercial photography including studio and location lighting, business and marketing skills, along with DSLR camera operation. Topics covered in the course will include advertising photography, product and still-life photography, fashion and portrait photography. Students will also learn the business aspects of operating a photography business. In class, students will also learn to use Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to edit photos and take their photography to the next level.

Students can earn SP2 Safety Training Certification, All-Data Certification and will have free shop time to perform various repairs on their own vehicles under proper supervision of instructor. This year-long course will expand on the topics learned in the previous courses to include diagnosis and repair. Students will demonstrate tasks in a high-tech, modern facility using industry standard tools and equipment. Major learning units include Shop Safety, Chassis Systems, Manual and Automatic Transmissions and Driveline, Engine Diagnosis, Engine Performance Troubleshooting, Employability Skills and Electrical Diagnosis. Students will be instructed in the classroom on the Maintenance Light Repair lab sheets and then asked to perform such repairs in the shop environment. Students will have the opportunity to work on their own vehicles under proper supervision of instructor. Students will have the opportunity to earn SP2 Safety Training Certification, and All-Data Certification. Students may participate in local job shadows as part of this course.
