Why Collaborate?

The role of a librarian is to jointly educate students along with their content teachers. By teaching literacy skills, research tips, and project planning/development, the librarian can lay the groundwork for lessons and projects so that teachers can focus on teaching content, rather than teaching how to output content. Collaboration allows students to see models of how to communicate with and respectfully work with others, while also understanding the benefits of teamwork and multiple perspectives.
