As part of your onboarding, you’ll need to become familiar with the clinical equipment and systems used to support patient assessment, treatment and rehabilitation at Symmetry Physiotherapy.
Work through the relevant training resources below for Physitrack and AxIT, as well as Shockwave where it is available at your clinic and applicable to your role. These resources are designed to complement the practical training and supervision you’ll receive within your clinic.
If you’re unsure which training you need to complete, please speak with your Practice Manager or Director.

AxIT Strength & Performance Testing
AxIT technology allows our practitioners to objectively assess strength, movement and performance using tools such as force plates and dynamometry. Understanding both how to conduct testing and how to interpret the results is important before incorporating AxIT into patient management.

Practical tip: Online learning should be complemented by practical observation. Sit in with an experienced practitioner to see how they set up and conduct a testing session, select appropriate tests and interpret the results.

Physitrack Exercise Prescription
Physitrack is used to create and deliver exercise programs and educational resources to patients. Becoming familiar with both the practitioner and patient experience will help you provide clear, accessible rehabilitation programs.
Practical Tips:
Download App to experience to the patient's perspective.
Explore the available templates and education material.
Practise creating and sending an exercise program before using the system with patients.
Your Clinic Director will add you to our Physitrack account and provide you with log-in details, including API key for connecting with Nookal. Please liaise with them for further details.

Shockwave therapy is one of the treatment modalities available within selected Symmetry clinics. Before using the equipment clinically, practitioners should understand its appropriate application, equipment settings and relevant clinical considerations.
