College Credits & Credentials
College Credits: CTAGs
Students can earn 6 college credits after completing two years of the program. This is through the CTAG initiative. CTAG credits are available at all public colleges, universities, and community colleges in the State of Ohio. These credits are free and the application process only involves a few simple forms. Students need to have a passing score on the WebXam assessments taken during class at the end of each year.
Credits offered:
Computer Logic (3 credits)
Web Languages (3 credits)
College Credits: AP
Students can choose to take the AP Computer Science Principles exam at the end of the junior year to earn college credits. Students who score at least a 3 out of 5 on the exam will earn credits at most colleges/universities. The conversion does vary from school to school. Students are prepared to be successful on the exam during the regular course of study in the program, and past students have earned credits by scoring 3s, 4s, and 5s!
