TeachMeets

TeachMeets are one of the most popular forms of Professional Development. The focus of Authentic Learning TeachMeets, is showcasing the implementation of our Statement on Authentic Learning. They are an opportunity for educators to meet and make connections with other enthusiastic educators in an informal setting. They include short 3 to 7-minute presentations by teachers, sharing good practice, practical ideas, personal insights, innovations they are using in their classrooms or whole school, that enable authentic learning.

Evidencing professional growth and impact on student learning

After attending a TeachMeet why not take this professional growth experience and:

link it to the SCS Statement on Authentic Learning and the NESA Australian Professional Standards
document your change in practice and its impact on student learning, and have it contribute to your teacher accreditation process.

Key questions to consider:

What is the strategy or idea you have taken with you today? Where is the link to the Authentic Learning Statement and the NESA Standards?
What is the evidence demonstrating that you have implemented the idea?
