At Marcellin there are THREE pathways on offer to your son. Each pathway is unique and has a different set of benefits. The three pathways are;
ATAR Pathway- this pathway is for a student looking to University straight after school. This is the most academic pathway offered at Marcellin. Students on this pathway are expected to study each night for approximately 2 hours, students will need to complete HSC Trial exams and attend all HSC exams
HSC+ Pathway- This pathway is for a student who knows they do not want to go to university straight from school, they may want to attend university 2-3 years after graduating form Marcellin. Students on this pathway will graduate Marcellin with their Higher School Certificate (HSC) and a Cert II or III from the College's vocational subjects (Business Services, Hospitality and/or Construction). Student on this pathway are most suited for further study at TAFE or entrance into the workforce once they have graduated
SBAT Pathway- This pathway is for a student who would like to complete their HSC but also would like to start working/ studying the trade that they are interested in. An SBAT student will work 1 day a week, attend TAFE 1 day a week and attend Marcellin for 3 days a week. This pathway is suited for a career driven student who is confident they will enter a trade after graduating Marcellin. To be on an SBAT pathway students have find themselves an employer who is happy to take them as an SBAT student and complete all forms on the SBAT page . This pathway is subject to TAFE availability and enrolment.
