SBAT Paperwork

What is the process of getting and SBAT?

1. Find an employer

An employer must be prepared to employ you for the required number of days for your training package.

2. Complete and Submit the following forms

• SBAT Notification form (Student to complete)

• Employer Information form (Employer to read)

• Employer check list (Employer to complete)

3. Submit all documents via the google form

4. Wait for confirmation from TAFE or the Training body for acceptance into the course

5. Once accepted a training plan is developed this will need to be signed by

• Student

• Parents

• Employer

• Training organisation (normally TAFE)

• An apprenticeship agency (Apprenticeship support, Maxima, San Russo etc.)

• A College representative

• A SCS representative

The sign up will be completed by the Apprenticeship agency, they will then register the training plan with Training NSW. The Agency will also explain any subsidies etc. an employer and/or apprentice is entitled to.

6. Once the plan is signed the student must start work within 30 days.
