Post Card Campaign by Students of SXBA (Secondary Section) - 17th December, 2021

A 75 lakh post card campaign was conducted by the Department of Posts and Department of School Education and Literacy. The campaign commenced from 1st December and ended on 20th December, 2021.

As part of this campaign Post Cards addressed to the Prime Minister were given to various schools. Our school- St. Xavier’s Boys’ Academy too received 60 post cards on which students had to write on either one of the topics- “Unsung Heroes of Freedom Struggle” and “My Vision for India in 2047” in English, Hindi or Marathi.

The post cards were distributed equally among the three Language Departments- English, Hindi and Marathi where each Department was given 20 post cards. These post cards were given to the students of 5th to the 10th standard on a first- come- first serve basis. The students were very excited that they were getting an opportunity to put forth their thoughts and opinions which would then be read by the Prime Minister of our country.

All the postcards given were filled by the students and returned by the 16th of December, 2021 and a representative from the Department collected it on the 17th of December, 2021.
