Stellar Comets
Our district rewards students monthly in every grade K-6 with "Stellar Comet." A Stellar Comet student exemplifies positive behavior toward teachers and friends, demonstrates good work ethic, and is a overall a good school citizen. Every month starting in October through June, 2 student candidates from every class will be nominated by their teacher. The nominees are reviewed and one boy and one girl for every grade is chosed to be the Stellar Comet recipient for the month. Stellar Comets are recognized at monthly board meetings and given a certificate by their principal.

We agree that we strive to learn in a safe, happy, and healthy environment. Therefore we will practice following our classroom rules everyday.
BE SAFE
Walk quietly in the hallways.
Watch where you are going - look forward.
Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourselves.
BE RESPECTFUL
Eyes on speaker, body is still, and ears are listening.
Be kind and caring. Share and take turns with materials.
Raise your hand when you want to speak. Don't call out.
FOCUS ON YOURSELF
Try your best.
Never give up.
Believe in yourself...no negative self-talk.
Have fun and be positive!
Seven Habits
Positive behavior is supported through our Character Education Program that gets taught twice a week during the Comet Time period. Our character Ed program includes instruction on the 7 Habits of Healthy Kids. Those habits are as follows:
Stratton Stars
Stratton school uses Stratton Star Tickets as a way to encourage students to demonstrate positive behavior. In my class I reward students daily and consistently for demonstrating good choices, positive behavior and good work ethic. Tickets are given out readily in our class so everyone gets a chance to be rewarded. In class, tickets are put in a "Believe" box and every Friday one ticket is pulled. That is our Star Student of the Week. In the office, all the tickets are collected in the fish tank. The Star Student gets their name written on a Star, the Star goes up on the Star Student Galaxy Wall of Fame and their name is announced on Mondays. When the tank is full the whole school gets a reward.
