Answer these questions about your object:
What have I done with this before?
What does this remind me of?
Are there any unusual properties about this object?
Think about and name 1 or 2 art projects you have always wanted to do.
This will be your artist statement. Take a picture of what you created and post it on your Artsonia gallery. If you still don't know how to do this go to this home page and follow those directions. I will be looking for something on your site by Friday.
You started the bird sculptures when we last met. You should be able to finish them with items you have at home. Use your STEM chops to engineer them to flap their wings. Here is a video with instructions if you need it:
NOTE!: Use scissors instead of Exacto knife. Fish line works for the string. Find a long tree branch in your yard to hang your bird on. Can't wait to see them! Post on Artsonia. Write a DIE artist statement on your post. I'd like to see them by April 2.
We are going to explore one point perspective. In the image of DaVinci's Last Supper we see a very clear roadmap of perspective and vanishing point. Put a ruler along the tapestries and ceiling tiles. Notice that they all converge on a vanishing point which is behind the head of Jesus. As a side note, the doorway below Jesus was an entrance to the hallway from the kitchen at the monastery where this was painted. The food was being delivered to the dining room too slowly so they closed up that door to allow for a quicker food delivery to the dining room. so they damaged a DiVinci masterpiece to get their food faster!
For this assignment you are going to draw a room in 1-point perspective. This is your dream bedroom. What do you have in your room? A big screen TV? Hot Tub? Skylight? Here's your chance to dream and imagine. Watch the video and go from there. post on Artsonia.com when you are finished.
