If the legos don't work, you can print with pieces of cardboard like cereal boxes. cut shapes and color with markers and stamp your design on paper. I used the plain side of the lego instead of the bumpy side.

Greetings artist friends! It's Tuesday art day so I have a challenge for you.
Greetings artist friends! It's Tuesday art day so I have a challenge for you.
I'm sure you have some Lego's around, right? Here's an idea to use them as stamps. If you have a stamp pad great. If you don't you can fold a paper towel up into a thick pad and color it with markers OR you can just color the Lego with a marker. This might get messy so be sure to ask you parent where it is ok to do this! Let's see what picture inventions you can create. Post them on Artsonia when you are done so I can see them.

Check out this awesome artist: Andy Goldsworthy. He creates art in the great outdoors using things he finds in nature. Tomorrow is earth Day so I thought it would be fun to get outside and make art with the natural things you find around your yard. Be sure to take a picture of it and post it on ARTSONIA. These are paintings by one of my favorite artists,Wayne Thiebaud. He paints lots of yummy things like cakes, cupcakes, candy and ICE CREAM! Mr. Thiebaud is still alive. He is from Chicago. He is what is called a pop artist, meaning he makes art about popular things; things we see all around us. For our art this week we will be making art about our favorite treats. After drawing your picture you can paint it if you have paint, or you can color it with crayons or markers. If it is a nice day you can draw your treat art outside with sidewalk chalk or you can take your supplies outside and make art in the outdoors like the famous French Impressionist painters!
