For OEC State, teams are made up of 4 high school EMS students. The competition is at an EMR level, but students may be in First Aid, EMR, or EMT classes.
The cost for each team is $100. That is $25 each or find a business that will sponsor you to cover that cost. Perhaps they will also cover the cost of matching uniforms.
Speaking of uniforms, each team should appear as a team. The uniform worn by the group should be coordinated. Some groups wear matching sets of scrubs. Some will be in full EMT uniforms. You are required to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Shirts should be appropriate to do work in--not too tight and not too baggy.
Registration:
Teams need to register themselves on this website by Feb 10. There will be a cap of 24 teams. You will need a team name. If another team has already taken that name, we will contact you to get a different name. You will have to have one of your team members listed as the captain. If you are part of an OEC program, you can give money to your instructors and they will get it turned in.
Teams will arrange to bring their own equipment. Contact us if you equipment help.
