College/ University Planning
Hilltop High School counselors are committed to preparing all students for college by speaking with students regarding college planning and doing college presentations in classrooms. It is important to start the discussion regarding college with your student and work together on setting goals that will help your student succeed. Students should work on maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA (a “B” average) and take A-G courses when possible. In middle school, students can earn A-G credit with the following courses: Integrated Math I or a Foreign Language. The goal of post-secondary education is attainable for every one of our students. It is important to start college planning by exploring colleges, financial aid, and admissions requirements now.
