(Attention SCPA Intra-district Transfer Students, PLEASE read below)
Dear Future Cavalier Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to welcome you to the Cavalier family! As you complete your Online Enrollment Registration (OLR), please select elective courses for your student, unless we have visited your student’s elementary school. Counselors will visit Rosebank, Harborside, Rice, and Vista Square Elementary schools in February 2026 for presentations. If your student attended one of these schools and met with a CVMS counselor, they do not need to fill out another form.
In 7th grade, students will take English 7, Math 7, Science 1, World Cultures, P.E. 7, and one elective class. It's crucial that you access the 7th-grade course offering form early and select up to five electives, with your top choice being #1. Please note that elective selections are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you don’t select electives, a counselor will choose one for your student.

Remember, if you need any assistance, paper copies of the form are available at the CVMS front office. We're here to help you through this process.
If your student did not fill out a course offering form or did not meet with a CVMS counselor, please follow these steps. Students from Mueller and Feaster Elementary, please watch the video below and follow the steps below:
1. Download and fill out the 7th-grade course offering form with your student’s information.
2. Review elective descriptions and rank your top five electives.
3. Submit the form either in person at the CVMS main office (Attention: CVMS Counselors) or fax it to (619) 498-6836 (include student’s name and birth date).
4. Spanish and Adv. Math Classes:
Students enrolling in Spanish must take an entry test. This test is crucial as it helps us place your student in the appropriate level of Spanish. Spanish classes occur during the 0-period (7:20 AM). Flyer information: CLICK HERE. Students must complete the Spanish entry test before enrolling. Click HERE for the test link.
For more Compact Math information (flyer), CLICK HERE.
5. Submit Recent Grades/Transcripts:
*IMPORTANT: Parents/Guardians must email a copy of the student’s grades from their last school to the registrar at Nancy.Hiller@sweetwaterschools.org. Without grades, your students’ class placements may be delayed. It's also important to ensure you meet registration and residency requirements, as finalizing enrollment is a separate process.
