Speak with a trained student about any issue you are struggling with. Peer counselors are here to simply listen, without judgement. Everything you share with a peer counselor will be kept confidential so you can feel comfortable sharing. They can offer healthy coping strategies or simply create a safe space for you to feel heard and understood.
Misunderstandings, rumors, hurt feelings, gossip, and tense or strained relationships happen and it's not always easy to take the right the steps to resolve those conflicts. Peer counselors can help. Trained to listen objectively and help guide healthy, respectful communication, peer counselors can assist in resolving conflict with others. Each person involved will be heard and have the opportunity to speak privately with the trained student before meeting as group.
Support Groups are a safe space for students to talk with each other openly and honestly about issues they relate to. These groups are confidential and organized by students, for students. They can be helpful to students looking for support, understanding, and a safe space to connect with peers who understand. Meetings are voluntary, one hour twice a month after school and open to anyone who signs up.
