Coding is widely recognized as the language of the future. This course teaches the foundations of coding to students with no previous background. Learn to code and be introduced to the JavaScript programming language.
Students will:
Learn how to code in a fun and accessible way through a series of learning modules including video tutorials, code examples, programming challenges, and applied exercises.
Be introduced to the JavaScript programming language
Use problem solving and critical thinking throughout this course
Manage time to complete learning modules
Students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12.
This is a semester class.
Students will earn .50 credit.
Successful completion of two related half credit or a full year career-technical course may meet the fine arts credit for high school graduation. See your counselor for details.
