Curriculum statement

Psychology develops an awareness of the variety and complexity of the human mind, human behaviour and human relationships. Students will develop a number of skills such as how to view the world around you from different perspectives, how to plan and conduct scientific investigations into human behaviour. How to analyse and interpret data, critical reasoning skills and communication skills to help express a point of view fluently.

Psychology uses a variety of approaches and has links with biology, computer science, as well as humanities such as sociology, economics, history and philosophy. The mix of disciplines helps to make it a fascinating subject which can also provide a pathway into a range of careers.
