The Borlase Music Department is a very busy, exciting, vibrant and energetic place to be. Every year we aim to undertake dozens of events, providing opportunities for all students both within and outside of the curriculum to ensure they can engage with, and appreciate, music in the classroom and beyond. Not only do we strongly believe opportunities for musical performance give students musical skills and confidence, we also feel such events help to enhance well-being through giving a strong sense of achievement, pride and satisfaction. In preparing for, and taking part in, our musical events, students develop an understanding of the real world - preparing them for their pathways beyond their time at school. Teamwork, time management, leadership and communication skills are all developed in addition to cross-year group collaboration.
