Fundraising

Every Friday, the students of Swan River School have the option to wear a hat all day in classes, no matter what the hat. The only requirement is they must pay a dollar. This fun idea started last year.

All of the money made will go towards scholarships for people who need them for activities outside of school, such as theater plays, ski trips, ice skating, swimming, and more.

Mr. Congdon, the 8th grade teacher at Swan River, runs it every Friday. To start this is simple; just walk in, pay your dollar, and wear a hat. All of the classes, including the middle school students love hat day.

Ms. Vanessa, our administrative assistant says so far profits have been minimal, but she hopes to see more and more students and staff participate as the year continues.

Mr. Congdon says he likes to run it, and hopefully more students will have more fun in the future!
