Our curriculum is aligned with the MA Science Frameworks, which can be found at:
Matter and Its Interactions
Water on Earth
Ecosystems: Interactions, Energy, and Dynamics
Earth and Human Activity
Earth's Place in the Universe
Level One- 20% --> Check for understanding and remembering key information from a given lesson (homework, classwork, participation)
Level Two - 35% --> given to check your understanding throughout a unit (quiz, lab)
Level Three - 45% --> require a greater depth of understanding to demonstrate your ability to think critically and apply what you have learned (project, test)
Homework for the week is posted daily.
A big focus in Science is applying content and not just memorization.
Quizzes, tests, & projects will start at 50 points, and all other points will be added onto the 50. This will help students who struggle to come back and improve their average.
*Homework will consist of finishing classwork, periodic small projects, concept review sheets, & studying.
