Robo SOCCER
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The objective is to design a manual robot and which can compete on an arena specially designed for robotic soccer match. The event is aimed at testing the Flipping, Kicking, maneuvering skills and the control of the robot.
General Notifications
Students of Schools and Colleges both can participate in this event.
This is a robot soccer match, so the most agile and strategically adept robot will triumph.
The robot should be as per the given specifications.
There can be a maximum of 3 members per team.
ROBOT SPECIFICATIONS
The maximum distance between the wheels of the robot cannot be greater than 25 cm. However, we recommend to keep the distance as low as possible so that the robot can easily turn and move.
The robot should not exceed 5 kg.
The robot control can be wired or wireless as per your choice.
Ready-made toys, cars, and Lego bots are not allowed
The robot can be powered by a battery or AC supply.
The Bot can have a kicking mechanism
There should be 2 bots per team.
There can be an external jaw on the face of bots.
Arena Specification
Gross width of arena is 6 feet.
Gross length of arena is 9 feet.
Gross width of goal post is 1 feet
Diameter of ball 6-7 cm
Game Rules
The objective of the game is to score the maximum number of goals in the given time.
The maximum time for a match is 10 minutes, divided into two rounds of 5 minutes each.
Participants should hit the ball into the opponent’s goal to score points
Every touch on the bot will lead to a penalty of -5 points.
For every goal, there will be 20 points.
For every goal scored in their own net, a team incurs a penalty of -10 points.
After the half break, the goalposts will change for both teams.
GRADING POLICY
1. The grading formula for the calculation of the score is as follows:
2.Total Score = [100+10xGS] - [5 x HT ] - [10 x SG]
Where: GS :- Goal Score
HT :- Hand Touch
SG :- Self Goal
Each Goal score : 20 points
Penalties:
Self Goal Penalty : 10 points
Hand touch : 5 Points
DISQUALIFICATION FROM GAME
The robot should strictly follow the specifications provided :-
If both bots can't move for 40 sec then their respective teams will be disqualified.
Unethical behavior could lead to disqualification.
Faculty coordinators have all the rights to make decisions for any false conduct during the event.
Decisions of the Judges and Event Organizers shall be treated as final and binding on all and cannot be contested.
WINNING CONDITION
The Team with the maximum score shall be the winner of the competition.
CERTIFICATION POLICIES
The winner will be awarded with a certification of excellence and a cash prize for the event. All other teams will be provided with a certificate of participation.
