Innovative Bots
Problem Statement
Team has to present idea or model on innovative robots including problem, solution and how it can be implemented.
Broad fields:
Industrial Robot: Material handling, Welding, Painting etc
Household Robot: Routine work, Sweeper etc
Medical Robot: Surgical treatment, Lifting support etc
Service Robot: Object handling, Object collection, Survey Drone, Rescue drone etc.
Agro-bots: Sowing bot, Weeding bot, Pesticide bots etc.
Military Robot: Shipping, Bomb detection, Mine detection, Space Robot etc.
Entertainment Robot: Dancing bot etc
But not limited to……….
Note: There will be two categories for this event i.e. School and College category. So separate winners will be from these categories. All the rules and judgement criteria will remain same.
Game Rules: (Common for both the Categories)
An idea with working or non working model presented using video (demonstrated using poster/ppt or model).
Steps for participation:
Step 1: Proposal submission can be done from the given link. Last date for proposal submission is now closed.
Step 2: Shortlisted proposals will be notified through mail/call within 2 days of abstract submission.
Step 3: Shortlisted participants can register themselves.
Step 4: Submission of video for Idea/model presentation of shortlisted proposals till 15 Oct 2021.
Idea / Model should be related to Science, Engineering or Technology.
Core idea should be novel, innovative and creative.
Focus should be given to simple and cost effective solution of the problem.
There is NO technical constraint in designing such as Battery power, Size, material, design etc.
More weightage would be given to the working model.
Video Recording Guidelines
The participant has to follow the below procedure to record the video:
The video length must not be greater than 10 minutes.
The video shall be created in a landscape mode taken from Digital camera or rear camera of mobile phone.
The video shall consist of three sections.
Section A: All members have to introduce themselves by mentioning their Idea title, Team Id, Member names, School/Institute name. ( Max time of recording for section A is 1 minute).
Section B: After introduction, the participant has to explain the basic idea of the innovative bot including problem and solution (approximate time of recording for section B is 3 minutes).
Section C: Demonstrate the idea/model with complete details i.e. Innovativeness, feasibility, approximate costing (scoring parameters) etc. The camera must be focused on the model during recording with proper voice-over so that it should be understandable. The demonstration could be of working model/non-working model/ Idea. The video can be prepared using PPT or Poster or the demonstration of the model. ( approximate time of recording for this section is 6 minutes)
Rename the video with the Team ID (Team ID will be provided on registered mail id of Team leader after registration).

Scoring and Judging Criteria
On the basis of online presentation of submitted video following parameters will be included during evaluation:

Feasibility (5 Marks)

b. Status of Idea/Model:
Poster/ Video / PPT (15 Marks)
Working Model
Hardware prototype (10 Marks)
Software (10 Marks)
c. Presentation/ demonstration
Coverage of contents (5 Marks)
Communication / delivery (5 Marks)
Q & A (10 Marks)
Certification Policies
Top scoring team will be awarded by certificate of excellence and cash prize for the event. All other teams will be provided by certificate of participation.
