Saturday September 20th (CSU Band Day)

• 8:30am Drop off at SCHS

• 9:00am Bus Load

• 9:30am Depart

• 11:00am On-site Registration and Rehearsal at Canvas Stadium 

  • 1. Park on your own 

  • 2. Enter the stadium through the North East Tunnel at Pitkin and Meridian 3. Be sure to arrive with your instrument and anything else you need for rehearsal and performance that day 

  • 4. Clear Bag for any belongings that you are bringing through Ticket Area Security

• 12:30pm Meeting with Director of Athletic Bands

• 1:00pm Sectionals with CSU Marching Band Members (including SCMB clarinet alumni Demi Rush and Ethan Agena)

• 1:30pm Rehearse on Field for Halftime

• 2:15pm Watch CSU Pregame Run-Through

• 3:00pm Full CSH & HS Band meeting to discuss logistics - North End Zone

• 3:30pm HS Students store instruments and move to Ram Town/Intramural Fields to observe Ram Walk Pep Rally and Parade

• 4:45pm Ram Walk Pep Rally and Parade & Lunch for SCMB Students

• 6:45pm Enter Stadium via Spectator gates off Pitkin

• 7:10pm Watch CSU Pregame Performance

• 7:30pm Kickoff

• Start of 2nd quarter, move to band tunnel (NE Corner of Canvas) via "Grand Staircase"

• Halftime Performance with CSU Marching Band

• After Halftime - Store instruments and stay for teh Rams' Win! and post-game concert by the CSUMB

• 11:00pm - approx. end of the game

• 11:30pm - Load Buses and return to SCHS

• 12:45am - Unload buses, put things away in the band room

• 1:00am - parent pickup

Saturday September 27th (Friendship Cup @ Eaton High School)

Schedule

• 7:00am - Dropoff at SCHS

  • 7:15am Load Buses

• 7:30am - Depart for Eaton

• 8:30am - Arrive at Eaton HS

  • Unload and get ready for prelim warmup

• 9:50am - Warmup

• 11:00am - Preliminary Performance

• 12:45pm - 3:45pm - Lunch & Critique

  • Lunch 

    1. Parents are working on providing lunch and dinner for our students and volunteer parents

    2. Students, be prepared to pack your own lunch as well.  

• 4:00pm - 7:35pm - Finals

  • First bands in finals begin warmup at 2:50pm

  • Our potential Finals Schedule is based on our preliminary score

• • • If parents want to get into the spirit we would love ideas for how to provide snacks, and a group meal for dinner.  Most of us are new to this type of Marching Band weekend, it is common to see parents putting out a spread to feed the kids in their bands

Wednesday October 8th (SVVSD Band Night)

• Large Instruments need to load their own instruments onto the rented truck

  • Students load their own instruments

• All Students need to take their instrument home

• Call Time at LHS is 4:00pm

  • Arrive in Uniform

  • Warmup in the Lot

  • Enter the stadium at 5:30pm

  • Watch all other bands performances

  • Load the truck after the performance

    • We’ll rent the truck for 2 nights so we won’t need to unload at SCHS after SVVSD Band Night.  

  • Parent Support is needed at halftime:

    • Move Sound Equipment and Drum Major Podiums out for performance

    • Put white feather plumes into student's hats (called shakos)

    • Move equipment back following the performance.

Thursday October 9th (Home Football)

• Large Instruments need to load their own instruments onto the rented truck

  • Students load their own instruments

• All Students need to take their instrument home

• Call Time at LHS is 5:00pm

  • All students help unload the truck

  • All Students get into uniform

    • DO NOT WEAR SWEATPANTS OR JEANS UNDER UNIFORMS

    • Wear Gym shorts or very thin leggings

  • Set up music stands in the bleachers

  • All Students ready to play by 6:00pm

  • The Band plays pep band for the Entire Football Game with their halftime performance in the middle.  

  • Following the game, all students help load the truck to get gear back to SCHS. 

  • Students help unload the truck back at the school

  • Parent Support is needed at halftime:

    • Move Sound Equipment and Drum Major Podiums out for performance

    • Put white feather plumes into student's hats (called shakos)

    • Move equipment back following the performance.

Greeley Invitational, Saturday October 18th

• • Information will be sent out/posted as soon as it is made available from the event coordinators.

Saturday October 26th (Halloween parade)

• 9:00am Call Time at Roosevelt Park

• Students arrive in costume

• Leave instrument Cases in cars or with parents

  • There is not supervision for personal items in the park

Friday October 31st (Senior Night)

Just like the Football Team, XC Team, Soccer Team, Cheer and Dance signed up to participate in an activity that falls on Halloween, the band is expected to adhere to the entire schedule for this game.
