Overview
There are three ways you can use Translate Live ILA's, all of which are detailed below. They are multifaceted devices that can be used in one on one settings and large group settings. See details on all the modes below.
The QR Code and Room code for the device always stays the same- it does not change with each session. Therefore, you can make flyers or presentations with the same link and they will remain evergreen.
Translate Live devices live in the front office. Please check them out using this form: Check out form.
Shortened URL's for each school
We have pre-made shortened URL's that you can use with the Broadcast feature on your Translate Live device. This will make it much easier for participants to type in URL's.
For example, he shortened url for MSHS's device is svsd.tech/TranslateMSHS instead of the original https://www.123ila.com/app/room/6603523.
The links are evergreen, so you can put them on flyers, slides etc. and don't have to worry about updating them.
Broadcast Mode
Use Broadcast Mode when giving a presentation to a large group of people.
Ex: Assemblies, Curriculum Night
In Broadcast Mode, all participants scan a QR code and can select a language of their choice. They can look at subtitles or listen to audio (through headphones) on their own devices/phones.
One on One Mode
Use One on One Mode when interacting with one other person.
In One on One Mode, each participant interacts with one tablet and communicates in the language of their choice.
Single User Room
Use Single User Room when one participant is unable to interact with the screen on their own.
EX: one participant has a broken arm and is unble to press the buttons on the screen.
