Use the guides to the right when setting up your gradebook at the beginning of each semester. Make sure to follow the steps in order as detailed in these guides. If you take the time to set your gradebooks up correctly at the beginning of the semester, you will prevent issues further down the line.

Remember- you can change the SECTION name in your Schoology courses. Don't change the COURSE Name.
Is something wrong with your gradebook? Are you getting a syncing error? Does the Skyward grade look different from the Schoology grade? Try the troubleshooting steps below the bot.

Click on the name of each category. Make sure Calculated By is set to Total Points.

Open your gradebook in Schoology.

Scroll through and make sure all assignments have a DUE DATE and time. You can also check other things, like whether the assignment is published and whether or not it is able to sync to Skyward.
Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the page.
SYNC your gradebook to Skyward.
Bulk Edit- use the Bulk Edit View to check for correct semesters/terms, and due dates all in one view. You don't have to open each assignment individually!

If you see a sync error in Schoology that says "Category Has Not Been Assigned," then follow these steps:
In Schoology, click on Skyward, then Configuration. Match your categories.
If you have LINKED COURSES, make sure to do this for each section. Click on the drop down menu at the top of the page to toggle between sections.
If you grade an assignment in Schoology, then sync to Skyward, but decide you don't want to count the assignment, you will have to delete the assignment in both Schoology AND Skyward. A sync will not delete an assignment in Skyward.
If you link sections within a course in Schoology (EX: you link all of your LA 7 sections), and find that only one section is syncing to Skyward, then it is likely that you missed a step in the gradebook setup. Here's what you need to do:
Open the course in Schoology.
Click on Skyward in the left hand menu.
Click on Configuration.
Use the dropdown menu above the Skyward logo to select each section. (See the image on the right)
Match the categories in each section and click save at the bottom of the page.
Here is the Ultimate Guide to Posting Your Grades.
Before you post your grades, make sure Schoology and Skyward match within .01%. If your grades are off, resync. If that doesn't fix your issue, work through the Gradebook Fixes Checklist above.
