Why are we using Teams?
Zoom has significantly increased prices since the era of online learning. To curb those costs, we are going to utilize the video conference feature in Teams.
Everyone will still have access to the free version of Zoom, which allows you to start 45 min long calls for free.
How do I join a meeting?
To join, simply click on the link that was sent to you. It may ask whether you want to open the web based or app version. Choose whichever you prefer.
How do I schedule or start a meeting?
You can add a link to a teams meeting when you schedule a meeting in Outlook. Make sure the Teams Meeting Option is Toggled On when you create the invite.
You can video call any staff member without scheduling a call in Outlook. Open the Teams app on your device. Then choose CALL on the left. Type in the NAME of the person you would like to call (or choose them from a recents list). Select the CAMERA ICON to start a video call.
Navigating a Call
Teams has many of the same functions as Zoom, but the buttons are all in slightly different places!
Look in the upper right corner to select your CAMERA and AUDIO sources.
You can also share your screen with the button in the upper right corner.
