Regents Chemistry

Welcome to Chemistry Class!  This is an introductory chemistry course that includes a 1200 minute laboratory component that will prepare you for the Chemsitry Regents Exam in June.  I am excited for all the possibilities this year has to offer and hope you are too!  This year in Chemistry, we will be learning about the material world that surrounds us. 

Regents Chemistry is a rigorous and demanding course that explores many different aspects of science. You will learn about matter and energy, proper measurement in science, atomic theory and structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, chemical formulas, and chemical reactions. Other units include kinetic theory, redox reactions, kinetics and equilibrium, solubility and concentration, acids and bases, nuclear chemistry, and organic chemistry. As you can see, it is a course packed full of interesting information and requires dedication on your part and mine! Together, I know we will make this year exciting and successful!
