Angie was a Surry Village Charter School Parent for twelve years! A few of the many things she loves about SVCS include the family-like atmosphere, the dedicated teachers and staff, and the multi-grade classrooms. Angie is the author of numerous books for kids and adults and is always working on her next publishing project. When she isn't writing, Angie enjoys running, hiking, and reading.

Tori has lived in Surry her whole life and attended the first Kindergarten class in 2006 at Surry Village Charter School! SVCS has always been a family to her and she has always enjoyed the community aspect of the school. Since her K-12 schooling in Charter Schools, Tori has become an electrician and works locally. When Tori has a free moment, she enjoys spending time outdoors, being with her family, or spending time in her barn!

Barbara has been an enthusiastic SVCS devotee from the very beginning as a founding family member, parent, volunteer and employee. She has brought her skills as a clinical psychologist to support SVCS, first as a volunteer and then for 16 years as a staff member providing school consultation and administration for student services. She is excited for this shift from employee to Board of Trustees member and is eager to explore new ways to lend a hand. She carries 20 years of SVCS memories and remembers fondly of the time when the founders set a goal to create an outstanding school where their own children could learn and thrive. Barbara has found it to be an absolute joy to help SVCS fulfill that vision and become an amazing school community of wonderful students, staff, parents and community supporters. Barbara is looking forward to retirement with more time for her favorite pastimes: dancing, gardening, reading and hanging out with family, friends and her two cats.
