About the SPASD Orchestra Program
Students in the Sun Prairie Area School District may choose to study a string instrument through an orchestra class beginning in fifth grade.

Fifth grade students participate in a large group rehearsal and a small group lesson once a week.

Sixth and Seventh grade students meet every other day for a large group rehearsal and once each week for a small group lesson.

There are two orchestras in the Sun Prairie High Schools. The Symphonic Orchestra is for any student who wants to play in an orchestra. The Chamber Orchestra is an audition ensemble open to any student who meets the audition requirements.
