Greetings to Caregivers & Students!
Come learn to play a string instrument as a 5th grader!
The 5th grade orchestra program offers students an opportunity to learn how to play one of three main string instruments: the violin (smallest), the viola ( a little larger), or a cello (the largest offered for 5th graders). Large group orchestra meets once per week for 30 minutes, and small group lessons meet on the same day as large group orchestra class but for 20 minutes. We will strive for at least 2, if not 3 or 4 performances throughout the school year, including the All-City Orchestra Concert in the spring. Making music with your friends and then sharing your music with others is a very rewarding experience! Join us for a year of learning and fun!! If you are interested in signing up, contact Ms. Johnson at kajohns@sunprairieschools.org

Ms. Johnson
Hello all! I am Ms. Johnson, the Orchestra teacher at Eastside Elementary! I am very excited to teach Orchestra! A few things about me, other than the love of music, is that I graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2021. I've been playing violin for 20 years now! I have a cat named Teddy, and I love to swim too! If you have any questions about Orchestra, my email is always open. kajohns@sunprairieschools.org
