The purpose of the Sumter High School Student Government is to unify the student body, to encourage democracy, to develop good leadership, to promote citizenship, to provide a medium for student expression, to coordinate and improve student activities, to establish a spirit of cooperation among students and faculty members to develop a school orientation program, and to improve inter-school relationships.
