Mrs. Harvey is a graduate of White House High School ('99). She attended Union University where she earned a B.S. in Psychology and Youth Ministry ('03). She attended the University of Memphis where she earned a Masters in School Counseling ('10). Mrs. Harvey is married to James Harvey who works at Oakmont Elementary School. Together they have a son, a daughter and two dogs. Mrs. Harvey loves to dance, paint, travel, and collect crystals. Her passion is to be a safe non-judgmental space for all students, especially those that feel they don't belong.
Mrs. Leah Johnson - School Counselor

Mrs. Johnson moved to Tennessee in 2020. She attended Minnesota State University, earning her bachelor's in Business Education. Mrs. Johnson taught middle and high school for 16 years, and during that time, she finished her Master’s in School Counseling and has been a school counselor since finishing. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Counseling. Mrs. Johnson is married to Mike, and together they have 6 adult children. She loves her very spoiled dogs, Leo and Gloria, collecting Star Wars memorabilia, playing video games, fishing, and crocheting. Her passion is to provide a safe space where all students feel valued and loved and can feel comfortable being their true, authentic selves.
Ms. Carly Spencer - School Counselor

In 2017, I moved to Tennessee upon graduating at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I decided to further my education and pursue a master’s degree in school counseling at Lipscomb University (’21). I find joy in creating positive, trusting relationships with students to help them grow in various aspects of their lives. In my free time, I love to go to the gym, rollerblade, be on Old Hickory Lake, FaceTime my niece, support local businesses, and spend time with my friends and family. I’m excited to be part of the Green Wave family!
Mrs. Lori McCormick - School Counselor

Mrs. McCormick graduated from Gallatin High School ('95). She attended Middle Tennessee State University, where she earned a B.S. in Psychology ('99) & a Masters of Education in School Counseling ('03). Mrs. McCormick is married to Jason & has 2 sons. She enjoys reading, cheering on the Green Wave, & spending time with family & friends. Mrs. McCormick loves working with high school students & watching them accomplish things they felt were once impossible.
Mrs. Kelly Brewer- School Counselor
All 9th Grade Students
Mrs. Brewer is a graduate of Gallatin High School. She attended Tennessee Tech University where she earned a B.S. in Child and Family Studies. She attended Middle Tennessee State University and earned her M.Ed in School Counseling. She earned her Ed.S in administration and supervision from Tennessee Tech University. Mrs. Brewer enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time on her farm.
Mrs. Ramona Fritts- Graduation Coach
Ms. Fritts received her Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Western Michigan University, her Master’s degree in educational leadership from Stetson University, and her Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She has taught high school math, served as an instructional coach, and as an administrator.
Ms. Fritts is married and has three sons. She comes from a large family and loves spending time with them. In addition, she also loves traveling, and attending concerts.
Mrs. Megan Zelms - College & Career Coach
Mrs. Zelms moved to Gallatin from Connecticut in 2018. She attended Columbia College of Missouri, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology (’09). She is currently enrolled at Lipscomb University, working toward an M.A. in School Counseling. Mrs. Zelms is married with two children. She loves to exercise, read, travel, and spending time with her family. She loves working with high school students and seeing them find their passion and achieve success.
Mrs. Pam Heathman - STARS Counselor
Pamela Heathman serves as a STARS (Students Taking A Right Stand) Student Assistance Program Counselor, dedicated to helping students overcome social and emotional barriers to success. Through individual and group sessions, she provides support that promotes healthy development, reduces obstacles to learning, and builds students’ strengths. In addition to direct student support, Pamela collaborates on education and prevention initiatives within the school community.
Originally from Paris, Tennessee, Pamela graduated from Henry County High School in 1994. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Cumberland University in 2012 and completed her Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development at Lindsey Wilson College in 2016. Pamela also holds a Temporary LPC-MHSP License (Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider) and has worked in the mental health field in Gallatin, Tennessee, since 2012.
Pamela’s passion for working with young people stems from her own experiences as a teen. Her mission is to empower students to recognize their full potential and achieve their goals. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, gardening, kickboxing, spending time with her family, and playing with her dog.
Mrs. Ilana Thomas- School Counseling Clerk
Mrs. Thomas graduated from Pekin Community High School in central Illinois and studied Secondary Education and Journalism at Western Illinois University. She and her husband Jeff recently moved to Nashville from Fort Collins, Colorado. They have three grown children, (Ben, Erica and Adam). She has a grandson named Felix and a grandpuppy named Ozzy that she adores!
For the past 19 years, she has had the pleasure of a rewarding career as the school secretary at Thompson Connect Online in Fort Collins, Colorado, St. James Middle School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Bethel Lutheran School in Morton, Illinois. During her time there, she also enjoyed coaching competitive cheer, dance team, and colorguard. She also loved working with the students as the Yearbook and School Newspaper advisor.
She has found over the years that working in a school environment is so rewarding and fulfilling that she can not imagine doing anything else. She feels incredibly blessed to be able to work with the students, families, and teachers at GHS.
