There are some things you'll want to do straight away as a new parent, here's how to get those tasks done. Other "how-to" guidance will come over the months ahead as new tasks come up that will help set you and your child up for success in the coming school year.
Parent Square is a communication and organization tool designed to keep parents informed and involved in their child's learning and school activities. On March 31, Summit will send out invitations to Parent Square to all incoming parents with signed contracts. If you are accepted off the waitlist, this invitation will arrive shortly after your signed contract is submitted. When you receive the email, click on the purple "Activate your Account" button or the link provided. You can choose to view Parent Square on your desktop or download the free "Parent Square" app from your app store to see messages and receive alerts on your phone.
The first group you belong to in Parent Square is "Incoming Families." You'll start seeing messages and invitations to events posted to that group over the course of the spring and summer. These will arrive in your email. Just before the school year, you'll be added to your child's classroom group and any other pertinent groups such as the aftercare group if applicable.
Note: It's important for all parents to have an account in Parent Square! Please ensure every parent/guardian of a Summit student is signed up. The sign up link does expire after a time, contact Rebecca Crawford (rcrawford@summitmontessori.org) to get a new sign up link if needed.
Registration for Summer Camp and Summer Aftercare is now open for incoming new families. Summer camp can be a great way to help familiarize your student to Summit's campus and routines, meet new friends, and develop relationships with teachers at their level. To be inquire about open spots and sign up or be placed on the Summer Camp waitlist, please email Chris Hui at chui@summitmontessori.org.
Note: AfterCare for summer camp will not be available for Beginners students. Lower and Upper Camp offer AfterCare until 5:00 pm.

The first of the three Summer Mailings (to be sent the week of June 16) will include a request for information from you. These annual forms are required to be on file at the school so that your child may safely be on campus. The forms are completed by a parent/guardian on Ravenna. When the request is sent out, you will log into your Ravenna account and notice that there is a triangle alert button on the Parent tab along the top. This is to indicate that a request has been made by the school. Click on the Parent tab and then "Requests for Information" along the lefthand menu. The forms can be started and returned to later with information saved to your account. All forms must be completed before a child joins us for summer camp or by the deadline indicated in the request.
Information that pertains to all students is sent over the course of the summer over a series of mailings.
Read all about what you'll learn and when you'll learn it on the Summer Mailings page.
