OSAS  = Oregon Statewide Assessment System

These are the state standardized assessments, which are computer based, adaptive assessments, and aligned to Common Core State Standards.

All students from 3rd Grade + are required to complete this assessments in a both Reading and Math, and Science in 5th, 8th and 11th Grades - unless a Parent completes and signs an "Opt-out" form that must be turned into the school.

Each student will complete two assessments in Language Arts, and two in Math. One is a Practical Test (PT - read and apply practical application of knowledge), the other is the Computer Adaptive Test (CAT). Science is also given for 5th, 8th & 11th grade students which would bring it to a total of 5 assessments. Both the Language Arts and Math assessments will require students to type responses.

Students will be able to complete this from home, or come to Eagle Creek to complete these assessments. These assessments are untimed and so each student will take a different amount of time to complete these.

Students should expect to sign up for at least two days of testing so that they are not trying to cram and complete all 4 or 5 assessments in one long day.
