Note: I am on-call 365 days a year for technology emergencies, which must be reported by phone. Emails and technology service request forms are not reviewed outside of regular work hours.

A technology emergency refers to any unexpected event or failure involving the school’s digital infrastructure—such as network outages, server failures, cybersecurity breaches, or computer malfunctions—that disrupts the normal operation of educational or administrative activities and requires immediate technical intervention to restore functionality and minimize instructional or operational downtime.

⛑️ I use a triage approach to technology issues.

Triage is the procedure of assigning levels of priority to tasks to help determine the most effective order in which to deal with them. Top-priority issues are dealt with as they arise and medium-priority issues attended to when there are no top-priority issues remaining. If there are no medium-priority issues outstanding, low-priority issues may be addressed.
