The Woodland Jr-Sr High School is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our brand-new Makerspace School Store, a unique hub of creativity, entrepreneurship, and community collaboration. This innovative initiative is expected to have its grand opening sometime in 2025 before the end of the school year. We are looking to partner with local businesses and organizations. These collaborations will provide our students with real-world experience in design, production, and business management while offering invaluable mentorship opportunities.
Located within our bustling Makerspace, the store will feature a wide array of student-crafted products, including custom laser-cut and engraved designs, silk-screened apparel, Cricut-crafted items, embroidered gifts, and more. Additionally, the Makerspace will incorporate student-driven videography and photography projects, further expanding the store’s creative offerings and marketing efforts.
The Makerspace School Store will also serve as a bridge to the broader community. By collaborating with local partners, we hope to ensure that students gain insights into market trends, customer service, and sustainable practices, preparing them for future careers. With state-of-the-art equipment for laser cutting and engraving, laser screening, Cricut crafting, embroidery, videography, and photography, students have the opportunity to turn their creative visions into tangible products while learning to document and promote their work. The proceeds will stay in the Makerspace program. The future goal is to be financially self-sustaining as much as possible. Partnering with community initiatives, further strengthening our bond with the surrounding area. This store isn’t just a retail space; it’s a vibrant testament to the creativity and innovation thriving at Woodland Jr-Sr High School. We look forward to welcoming the community to the grand opening and showcasing how the power of partnership and imagination can transform education.
