Last week of 2nd grade 6/8/2020

6/8/2020

Hello Nehalem students and families,

What a school year we have had! Thank you for all your perseverance and dedication in making it through this crazy third trimester! I am looking forward to seeing those who come to drop off this afternoon. I have had a great first year at St. Vincent's and have loved having your children in my classroom. I only wish we could have had the whole year together. I look forward to seeing them in the hallways when we finally can be in school. I hope everyone can get some rest, relaxation and fun this summer. Your kids will always be my kids!

Just a couple assignments. Mrs. Schuler is arranging for a book buddy drawing in the next couple weeks. If you have any reading logs that you have not sent in yet, please email them to me. Please have your child read, read, read over the summer. Here is a link for this week to practice their sound pictures from Mrs. Schuler

https://sites.google.com/stvs.us/reading/3rd-4th-grade/phono-graphix?authuser=0 . Another good idea over the summer is practicing math facts, addition and subtraction up to 20 or beyond.

Mrs. Stewart will keep you updated over the summer about what school will look like in the fall. So difficult with so much unknown.

Please let me know and send me a picture when your child makes their First Communion. I am so sad to not be able to be there and very glad I was able to attend First Reconciliation.

Thank you for letting me share your beautiful children by having them in my classroom. I will miss them and you!

Blessings,

Ms. Elsner
