Ingredients:
2 Cups of Cabbage, depending on the size
½ of a Green Bell Pepper
½ of a Red Bell Pepper
½ of a Orange Bell Pepper (Optional)
½ of a Yellow Bell Pepper (Optional)
1 Tomato
½ of a Yellow or Red Onion
1 Carrot
1 Cup of White Vinegar
1-2 Lime
½ t. Salt
Spur Tree Jamaican Crushed Scotch Bonnet Sauce (However much you want)
1 Green Plantain
Directions:
Peel the plantain skin off and cut it diagonally or just in square pieces
Put them in the fryer until they are brown
In the meantime, Gather your vegetables and wash them thoroughly
Shred the cabbage and it into a mixing bowl and cut the vegetables into strips and also add them to the bowl
Keep an eye on the plantain. If it’s already brown, remove it and let it rest for about a 2-3 minutes
Pour in the white vinegar and squeeze the lime juice into the bowl and mix for about a minute
Press the plantain flat and then refry for about 3 minutes and then remove
Add the amount of hot sauce that your desire, if any at all
Enjoy and if there is leftover pikliz, save it for another time.
