About Me

Hello! My name is Samantha and I'm a Senior here at Staples High School. I'm engaging, creative, and outgoing. I love to laugh, learn new things, play sports and hang out with my family and friends. I have started this blog for my Food in Literature: English class. I love to cook, especially with my mother which is why I chose to take this class and I was curious about the writing part of it. I didn’t know that we can cook whatever we want, so this made me so excited. My theme is Cruising through the Caribbean because I'm Haitian and I usually eat Haitian food and some Jamaican food, so I wanted to cook foods from there and possibly other countries in the Caribbean. I hope that those who have never tried Caribbean food would be able to have their first experience with my cooking. Since I like trying new things, making foods from other countries in the Caribbean will also be a first hand experience for me as well. I love it when my parents cook and I love learning how to make them because I would like to have my friends and people that I meet in the future to try them.
