Leatherback Sea Turtles

Sea turtles are beautiful creatures and we should try our best and save them. Well, what are these animals like anyways? Leatherback sea turtles typically are around 4 feet to 6 feet long. And they are the largest sea turtles in the world! According to Epic´s Sea turtles “With a long curved back shell with a leather like look this was where they got their name.” Even though these sea turtles are huge, you should know they only eat small animals and fish such as clams, crabs, shrimp, and other small fish.

So, don't be scared.

But what happens to the baby Sea turtles? Well, as new small eggs the mother will bury them underground and run back into the ocean. (Wild whales.org) Sea turtles never live with their mother. Once hatched they will run out during night to get out of the view of any potential predators. Once in the ocean all will swim by themselves. Sea turtles mostly live in the Pacific tropicals like Hawaii California and others. Sea turtle predators mainly are sharks but we humans are a big threat to them too.
