For the first project of ceramics, we worked on sgraffito using a slab of clay to form a piece of art. To start I took a chunk of clay and rolled it out I then cut it into a rectangle to glaze it, I then drew out what I wanted to do which was mountains and sunset, Painted the sunset yellow and the mountains outlined with black after that I put it out to dry for three to four days before getting it fired in the kiln to be finished. I made different artistic decisions because I had to make the black outline so that you could see the mountains and the sunset so you could tell what was what. I believe that the final product was very efficient and well done. I did struggle with finding painting felt like I got a little messy at points and wasn't really doing my best work on that part.
