History Inspired Project

6in x 6in

For this art project I chose rococo art and cubism art to combine. I did this by adding nature elements from rococo art and shapes from cubism. I also added shading that acted as if there was light that faded away. I chose to make this because I liked how cubism art looked and wondered what it would look like if it was mixed with a more rich type of art such as rococo art. To start this art project I first chose two art movements. I then drew a sketch of what my art might look like. I then used a ruler and pencil to make straight lines that formed different shapes. I went over the lines with a pen and a ruler to darken the lines so they would be more visible. I then added plants and lines and colored them with a marker. I finally finished the art by shading the shapes with a pencil as if there was a light source from where the plants were. This art could evolve if it had more nature and color or possibly more detail. My next steps for this art could be to add more color and nature elements and to make the art piece bigger.
