  • Learn how to wire up solar panels and basic residential circuits

  • Build an energy-efficient structure to stay warm in the cold

  • Use a fuel cell to create hydrogen gas that powers a model car

  • Test the efficiency of solar panels and optimize their voltage output

  • Develop your own Capstone Project based upon your interests and career aspirations

Coursework:

9th Grade - Investigations in Green Tech (Energy/Agriculture)

10th Grade - Energy, Power, and Society and Engineering CAD I

11th Grade - Energy Industry Fundamentals

12th Grade - Senior Capstone Project and AP Environmental Science

Students in the sustainable agriculture specialization in the Green Tech Academy will prepare for careers in agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources. Graduates of the program will have a robust knowledge of plants, animals and food production/distribution.
