Project Content
My group did our project on a heart attack. We spent 2 days making a poster detailing symptoms, definition, and health components. I learned a lot about heart and hypokenetic diseases through this project and now I know what will happen during and before a heart attack.
Heart Rate- In medicine, the number of times the heart beats within a certain time period, usually a minute. In class we learned how to calculate our heart rate at the moment, how to calculate our target heart rate, and what is our heart rate range.
Heart Attack- A sudden and sometimes fatal occurrence of coronary thrombosis, typically resulting in the death of part of a heart muscle. We learned about heart attacks in class. My group did our project on heart attacks and I learned a lot about what is and how to tell if you are prone to having a heart attack.
Obesity- The state or condition of being very fat or overweight. I learned that if you don't exercise you will become obese. When you are obese, you are more prone to having a heart attack or having a higher or lower heart rate. I learned about how to exercise and how to keep myself healty in the process.
Reflection
What I did well
I was able to work with other very well. I felt that I was a good team member in this class so far. For example, in pickleball, I worked well with my team members and we got to the top fast.
What I learned about myself
I learned that I can run a faster mile than I though I could. I also learned that the harder I try, the more it will benefit me. For example, I started off running a slow mile at around 10 minutes, and I got my best time at 7:15.
What I can do better
Something I can do better is to try harder. I don't think I tried to improve enough in PE this semester. For example, in the workouts I could have used more strength and really tried harder than I did.
Another thing I could have done better was payed attention in class more. For example, I had a missing assignment for awhile because I was not paying attention to Ms. Ghmenti during class.
