One new thing that I learned about myself in this project is that I am a strong leader. in order to get to that, I needed to learn how to lead. At the beginning of this project , I realized that I had to take control of my group in order to get things done with good quality and to not just sit around and do nothing. However, my first attempts at this were unsuccessful as I was controlling and just ended up making my group members mad or even more lazy, as they felt that I wasn't letting them do what they wanted and therefore they shouldn't do anything. This was frustrating and put me in a situation where I needed to adapt if I wanted to succeed, and so I started by telling my group members what they all did good that day instead of what they should have done better. This worked out great and let me ease into telling them what to do without controlling them, and this helped our group and got us working quickly with quality. Two of the 6 c's (Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, Conscientious Learner, Character, Cultural Competence) that I improved were communication and critical thinking.
One thing that I want to do better in the next project is my collaboration and critical thinking. I think I did alright on critical thinking, but I want to take it further by finding creative solutions to problems that did not just fix the issue, but improved the original idea. On this project, there were multiple things that I fixed with a good solution, but I could have improved further on. I could collaborate on my next project better by speaking my ideas to my group more and helping them or encouraging their ideas, because I feel that I shot down ideas from my group members on this project because they didn't fit my "vision" of what I wanted the project to look like.
This project helped me understand physics at a deeper level and taught me skills like leadership and time management, and overall was a good way to learn through a fun project that required just the right amount of skill to complete well.
